Job Summary and Qualifications
Mother Baby Nurse
The Clinical Coordinator assists the Director with all department activity to assure a coordinated effort in fulfilling department responsibilities with the long range plan, mission, vision, and values of the hospital. Assist in coordinating the department’s participation in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement. Ensures that nursing care is based on the nursing process and evaluates the effectiveness on an ongoing basis. Provides clinical support to the nursing staff.

Mother Baby Nurse

What you will do in this role:
- You will monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
- Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
- You will record patients' medical information and vital signs.
- You will order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's condition.
- You will modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.
- You will direct or supervise less-skilled nursing or healthcare personnel or supervise a particular unit.
- You will consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
- You will monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity.
- You will provide care - demonstrating competency in the care of the postpartum and newborn patient population.
- You will prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments.
- You will provide education to patient related to self care and newborn care.
- You will provide education to patient on discharge instructions.
- You will assist with maintaining compliance with federal, state and other governing bodies such as Joint Commission
- You will supports the facility’s Standards of Performance and ICARE values
What qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or other acceptable Board of Nursing
- Current BLS certification (Other certifications as required per Provision of Care for area of employment).
