Job Summary and Qualifications

We are searching for an LPN to join our patient-centered Medical Surgical team, responsible for assessing, evaluating, planning, implementing and coordinating a treatment plan and achieving the goals of the department. You serve as a key position of the interdependent team and hold responsibility for achieving positive patient and departmental outcomes.

What you will do in this role:

  • Maintain overall accountability/responsibility for assigned patients as directed by the RN
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders
  • Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment plans
  • Assist with procedures, monitoring, or other functions as directed.
  • Perform lab and procedural tests within the LVN/LPN scope of practice, after demonstrating competency.
  • Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Serve as a resource to department staff, students and volunteers to help deliver quality patient care.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Licensed Practical Nursing
  • Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State LPN license
  • A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
  • This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
