Job Summary and Qualifications

The Sepsis Program Coordinator will coordinate sepsis program development in conjunction with clinical leaders to ensure objectives, outcomes, and goals are achieved. The program coordinator demonstrates a high level of clinical competence that creates an environment of clinical excellence resulting in improved individual and group clinical outcomes. This individual facilitates individualized, evidence-based, highly effective care to patients and families through coordination/collaboration of the entire healthcare team. The program coordinator collects and analyzes data surrounding the sepsis patients to assist with documentation, coding, clinical care and outcomes. Through role modeling, coaching and demonstration, this individual fosters learning for the staff and promotes outcomes-oriented nursing practice. The Sepsis Program Coordinator is also responsible for program development, performance improvement of the service line, and staff and physician education and training. He/She will take on other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:
  • BLS and ACLS
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • BSN
  • MSN or MA Preferred
  • 5 years experience Required Years of Experience
  • 3 years experience in critical care with a solid grasp of hemodynamic physiology related to the septic patient
  • Knowledge of critical care, critical care protocols, and infection control
  • Prior experience in Infection Prevention or Performance Improvement/Quality preferred
