Job Summary and Qualifications
Our Medical Surgical Registered Nurses raise the bar by providing clinical expertise and the highest quality care, in the most compassionate way. Our Medical Surgical units treat a wide variety of patients with multiple diagnosis that include trauma, ortho, stroke and general surgery. We are an amazing team, that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition, like you, who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.
What You Will Do In This Role
You will perform comprehensive nursing assessments regarding the health status of the patient, following standards of care and disease specific protocols.
You will plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
You will provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN’s scope of practice and in accordance with established policies.
You will provide education and emotional support appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstance and incorporate patient / family teaching into all aspects of nursing practice.
What qualifications you will need:
This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
Medical City Las Colinas, built in 1997, is a 100+ bed full service, acute-care facility. We offer a wide range of services, including dedicated women’s services, Level II NICU, robotic surgery and emergency services. We are a Primary Stroke Center. We are accredited by The Joint Commission, American Heart Association and American Stroke Association. We offer a high level of stroke treatment and care to patients in Dallas County. We offer customer conveniences and state-of-the-art technology to exceed our patient’s expectations. We provide a pleasing environment. - Registered Nurse in TX or posses a compact license
- Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
