At StoneSprings Hospital Center, we are looking for a compassionate and reliable registered nurse for our Same Day Surgery (pre/post) unit to provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the hospital. While providing clinical and administrative support on the unit, you will also be responsible for performing patient care according to SDS standards for all surgical procedures pre and post-operatively. · Analyzing pertinent data, communicating findings and documenting information

· As a SDS nurse, you will assure all lab work, EKG, and x-rays are obtained, and initiate completion of chart

· You will demonstrate competency in pre-operative and post-operative anesthesia instructions, patient teaching, and discharge planning involving patient/significant other/family

· Utilizing equipment and performing special procedures competently as related to the PACU Scope of Care will be a daily responsibility

· As a SDS RN, you will ensure that the appropriate portion of outpatient and inpatient nursing assessments of the patient are completed, standard of care initiated and all necessary consent forms are signed

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Registered Nurse
• Registered Nurse Diploma
