We are seeking a Rapid Response Team Registered Nurse for Methodist Hospital Metropolitan to ensure we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. The Rapid Response Team Highlights:
  • The purpose of the Rapid Response Team is to bring critical care expertise to the patient bedside (or wherever it’s needed).
  • You will be responsible for participating in and leading rapid response and resuscitation events throughout the hospital.
  • Present hospital data regarding rapid response and resuscitation events to our Resuscitation Committee, evaluate best practices, and assist in implementation of evidence-based practices as needed.
  • Evaluate and assess patient risk for rapid response or resuscitative events using evidence-based tools throughout the hospital.
  • Improve the quality of care by reducing cardiac arrests and other acute life-threatening events, decreasing lengths of stay, and reducing patient mortality rates.
  • The patient becomes the center of attention, and determining the appropriate course of action for the patient is the rapid response team's goal.

What You Will Do In Your Role:
  • You will consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients
  • You will collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes
  • You will provide communication, confidence, and professionalism as evidenced by active engagement in unit and organizational activities
  • You will demonstrate team work, adaptability, and serving as a resource to the patient care team
  • You will have accountability for delivering quality nursing care services and for promoting a positive image of nursing


What Qualifications You Will Need:
  • Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program.
  • Must have 3-5 years of recent experience in an ICU or an ER
  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
  • Current American Heart Association BLS Certification, ACLS , NIH Stroke scale
  • Charge Nurse experience preferred
