Job Summary and Qualifications

* This is a Full Time Day Shift position at our FSED, Medical City ER Stonebridge. Hours are 7am-7pm

Under the supervision of the nurse manager, the registered nurse provides holistic, individualized care in response to emergent, identified needs. Additional functions will be performed in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and ENA standards in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of the organization. Our Emergency Room Nurses raise the bar by providing clinical expertise and the highest quality care in the most compassionate way. Our 12 bed ER has the expertise to diagnose and treat sever injuries and illnesses. As an ER RN, you will work in a fast-paced setting with patients requiring urgent treatment due to a life-threatening medical condition, illness or injury as well as patients with less serious conditions.

What You Will Do In This Role:

• You will quickly access and prioritize incoming patients.
  
• You will perform comprehensive nursing assessments and stabilize patients.
  
• You will provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN’s scope of practice and in accordance with established policies.
  
• You will provide patient education / follow-up care instructions and make necessary referrals.
  

What qualifications you will need:

• Current TX RN License or compact state license required
• Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred
• 2+ years previous ER experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
